Six Months Old!

Addison turned 6 months old on Wednesday, January 26. Let me just start by saying the one thing that every mom has probably said at some point....I swear I have the sweetest baby in the world! She is not perfect, but dog-on if she aint the sweetest thing I ever did see! She is changing from "Little Baby" to "Little Girl" right before our eyes. Just look at how she has grown over the past 6 months...
We are so blessed!

Not many of her "stats" have changed. She still sleeps through the night (Yay!). She still has 6 ounces in each bottle (breastmilk mixed with soy formula), usually 4-5 bottles per day. She wears a size 3 diaper and is wearing size 6 month clothes.

Her feet still haven't grown anymore. She no longer will take her paci. She has never been much into her paci, although Mommy and Daddy have been very glad to have it on many occasions in the past. She pretty much would take it if she was fussy. It would sooth her immediately, but as soon as she calmed down (or quieted down) she would just let it fall from her mouth or either pull it out of her mouth....and usually go to sleep. Now she usually just goes to sleep. Ha! She has really been watching her hands lately and putting them together. She still LOVES her jumper. We love it too, because it allows us to get things done while she is being entertained.

She is still trying to figure out the whole "crawling" thing. I have also been trying to get her to hold her bottle, but she just looks at me like I'm crazy. Little Diva. She has curled her tongue since the day she was born, but has really exaggerated it lately..

We started giving her oatmeal again 4 days ago, which I think she is thrilled about.  She was just starting to act as if she needed more than just her bottle.  We tried squash a few days ago, but she woke up at 5AM crying and had a horrible bright red rash all over her head and face.  We gave her some Zyrtec that cleared it right up, but we won't be trying squash again.  We tried carrots last night and today and so far so good.  I'm not sure what we will try next.  I hate trying anything new.  It used to be fun, but now with all of her allergies, it is just plain scary.  Hopefully we won't have anymore trouble as we introduce more foods to her.  Please say a little prayer for us, if you will.  And glory be to God for our happy, healthy 6 month old Addison Leigh!
