8 Months Old!

Image
Yesterday, Addison turned 8 months old!  I was just looking back at some of our previous blogs and it is so neat to see how she has grown over the months.  What she's been up to lately..... Still loves bath time, but plays in the tub on her belly now.  She loves to kick her feet and splash, splash, splash! Still scooting like crazy!  Occasionally she'll get up on all fours, but then I think she remembers that she is much faster at scooting (doing the army crawl).  She is such a little explorer all of a sudden.  We have had to do some serious baby proofing!  Loves to watch birds!  We have lots of trees in our yard, and an insane amount of bamboo....which means an insane number of birds.  Addison loves to go out and look at the birds...and the trees.  Several days this past week I have come home from work to find her and Adam wandering around the yard just exploring...an absolutely precious sight to my eyes Still loves her jumper and pretty much all of her toys!  She doesn&#

Sleepy Head

Image
Addison fell asleep while drinking her bottle last night.  It was soooo cute!  Adam laid her on the boppy pillow and gave her her bottle.  Next thing we knew, she was fast asleep....with the bottle still in her mouth!  So precious!

Silly Girl

Most kids bend their knees in order to go from a sitting position to their tummies.  Addison, however, does a full split... Silly girl!

To Sue-Sue and Pa-Pa's we go!

Image
Addison spent the night with Sue-Sue and Pa-Pa last Friday night. She did great! Sue-Sue and Pa-Pa said she was soooo sweet and happy! I was a little nervous that maybe she wouldn't go to sleep easily or nap well since she hasn't stayed overnight there before, but that was no problem. She slept all night and didnt wake up until 8:00 and she napped good. I am so proud of my little angel!! I think everyone had a good time... Thanks so much Sue-Sue and Pa-Pa!!!

Birthdays!

Image
Warning...this is going to be a lengthy post :)  Here goes... As I mentioned before, Adam's birthday was March 3.  I made him one of his favorites...strawberry short cake.  I don't have a picture of it, because it got gone too fast!  I am not bragging that I am a great baker or anything, just admiting that Adam and I have a weakness for sweets!  :)  I was so excited to give him his birthday gift... a grill.  We have been using a crumby little grill (when it decides to work) for quite some time now.  Hopefully this new one will, at the very least, be a little more predictable.  Here is a picture of it from today, still in the box... Maybe for Father's Day, I'll put it together for him.  Ha! Our nephew, Connor, turned 2 on March 4.  I saw him on his birthday and asked him how old he was.  He held up 4 fingers and said "three!".  It was so cute.  The funny part is, I had to think about it for a minute...he really talks more like a 3 year old and acts like a 4 y

6 Month Check-up and play time

Image
Last Friday, Addison had her 6 Month Check-up, (although she is over 7 months old).  She weighed 18 lbs, 13.4 oz (75.63 percentile).  She was 27" long (62.98 percentile).  Her head circumference was 17.44" (78.81 percentile).  She had a shot in each leg and one in her left arm.  She did really well.  She screamed bloody murder, but only for about 15 seconds.  She was laughing again before we even got out of the room.....I just love that kid!  She still isn't crawling, but is doing the "army crawl" really well.  I will have to get this on video one day.  She says "Da Da Da Da Da" all the time!  Still no "Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma".  Little turkey!  She loves her cousins! Hayden came over last weekend. She loves to look at him and laugh at him. Me and Amy took them on a stroll down the path. She wore sunglasses for the first time. She didn't seem to mind them a bit...  Today Landon and Luke came over. She had a blast with them...  And we wouldn&#

Two Whole Days

Image
That is how long it took to get our sweet little girl back after picking her up from Grandma and Grandpa's house Saturday night.  I have always heard that your kids are not the same when they come back from Grandma's, but I finally got to witness it first hand.  Addison stayed with Jane-Jane and Gerald Friday night and all day Saturday.  When I went to pick her up Saturday night she was EXHAUSTED, as I expected.  After all, she had been playing all day with her Grandma and Grandpa.  The shocker, however, came on Sunday and Monday.  Every time we sat her down she cried.  We put her in the jumper, she cried.  We put her in the high chair, she cried.  We put her in the car seat, she cried.  The only way to make her happy: hold her.  Every time we got anywhere near her she would hold her hands in the air, wanting you to pick her up.  We gradually broke her of that...after two whole days...and I am happy to say that she is back to her normal self....a sweet, happy, not-so-spoiled ba

Kearney Girls Photography

For those of you who don't know, my sisters, Mindy and Michelle, and myself have started a photography business.  We did lots of Fall pictures, but haven't done much since it has been so cold.  We don't have a studio yet so most of our photography is done outside....which are my favorite, but it's not always so fun taking pictures in 30 degree weather!  We are so excited that we are beginning to get some warm weather here and there again so we can do some more photo shoots!  We took Addison out last weekend for a few pictures.  I won't post them all, but here are some of my favorites...   If anyone is interested in booking a photo shoot, please let us know!  We look forward to capturing some of your precious moments!
