10 Weeks To Go!!

Image
This ultrasound picture shows Addison at 20 weeks. At the time, I couldn't believe that we were half-way through our pregnancy. And now, in what feels like the blink of an eye, we are 30 weeks pregnant! Little Addison has been so active lately! I am so ready to see her sweet face. Will she look like her mommy? Will she look like her daddy? Only God knows. Adam and I wonder all the time what color hair she will have. Adam's hair was so blonde that it was practically white when he was little. My hair was jet black. I wonder who's hair color Addison will have? Maybe it will be a mix? Oh, it's so exciting thinking about our sweet little baby. In our ultrasound pictures, it definitely looks like she will have Adam's lips and my nose. I think she'll look more like Adam. I hope so....I think he's pretty darn cute :) Well, I guess in about 10 weeks (give or take???) the suspense will be over. She will be here and we will be able to wrap our arms around her and ki

A Prayer Answered

Some time in 2006-2007 I began questioning my career path. At the time, I was an employee at US Cellular. I worked at US Cellular for three years as a "retail wireless consultant". Although the job was great & the company was great, I began realizing that I wanted something different. Honestly, I wanted something that would better allow Adam and I to start a family. You see, Adam farms. He has been farming with his Dad ever since he was 13 or so. He enjoys it...he is such an outdoor person and a firm believer in "hands-on" hard work. Unfortunately, that hard work comes with loooooong hours. So, to make a long story short, with Adam's long/late hours, I needed to find a job that did not require night or weekend work so that I could be home with our "future baby". Also, I ofcourse wanted to find something that I would enjoy. After much research, consideration, and many prayers, i decided to apply to dental hygiene school at Wayne Community College. A

Mother's Day/Anniversary Gift!!!

Some of you may know that I have been dreaming of having a really nice camera for quite some time now. Well, thanks to a super SWEET hubbie, my dream recently came true!!! Adam got me a Nikon DX5000 (I think that's what it's called) for our Anniversary/Mother's Day. First of all, how exciting that this is my first official mother's day celebration as a soon to be MOMMY! What a true blessing! And what a fitting gift.....now we will be able to capture every single move that our sweet Addison makes! I can hardly wait. I am no pro on cameras, but both of my sisters, Mindy and Michelle, have this same camera and I LOVE IT!!! I am so excited! I have lots to learn, but it will be fun!! So, get ready....there are many pictures to come...hopefully a few good ones :P Who knows, maybe this new hobbie will eventually turn into some fun side-work????? Here's hopin'!!! Hope everyone had a Great Mother's Day!!!

Happy Anniversary to Us!!

Today is our 6-year wedding anniversary and I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of Adam and I "through the years". We started dating in high school so some of the pictures are more than 6 years old. In fact, we met September 25, 1998 and have pretty much been inseparable ever since. We were engaged on October 13, 2003 and married on May 06, 2004. I hope you enjoy this journey back in time.... Here are a few from high school... my senior prom: my high school graduation... adam's high school graduation... dental hygiene school graduation... just some fun pics... a few minutes after we got engaged.... our honeymoon... a few wedding pics... and a pic from our Charleston vacation a few weeks ago... I thank God for every day that I get to spend with my absolute best friend and pray that there are many, many more to come! I love you Adam Beaman!! Thanks so much for all that you are and all that you do and for ALWAYS being the man I fell in love with! Happy An

Weekend Fun

This past weekend was full of family, fun, and sunshine! Michelle, Mindy, and I started off early Saturday morning...at 5:30 am to be exact. Now, don't get me wrong, I am NOT a morning person, but nearly every Saturday this time of year I hop right out of bed at the crack of dawn to check out the local YARDSALES!! Call me crazy, but I just love finding a good deal, and there is no better place to do that than at a yardsale! I'll have to post some pictures of some of the great finds I have stumbled across in the past, but for now, back to the weekend...Once the yardsale excitement began to fade for the morning, we changed course and headed to the river. The weather was perfect! My mom and dad were already down there. Then came me, Mindy, Landon, and Luke. And just a short while later came Michelle, Peyton, and Connor. All the boys had fun playing in the water (except for Luke, ofcourse, who pretty much slept and ate). We also did a little pier fishing, but didn't h
