Strawberries, Swimming, and Grandma's house

Image
Addison and I started our weekend off on Saturday morning by visiting "Strawberries on 903".  We have been planning to pick strawberries for a couple of weeks now and were afraid that we had missed them.  Fortunately there were still beautiful strawberries to be picked this past Saturday.  Addison hung out in the wagon... a $10 steal from a recent yardsale :)...while mommy filled her basket with strawberries. After picking strawberries, we picked out some fresh squash and bought some local pure honey-yum!  Before heading out, we stopped by to see all the animals... Strawberries on 903 will definitely be a tradition for us!  I just love traditions!!  When we got home, we let Addison enjoy our spoils.. I wonder if she'll call them "straw-babies" like her cousin, Landon, did when he was little.  :) Later that afternoon, Adam, Addison, and I headed to our little camper at Tranter's Creek.  We put Addison in her bathing suit as soon as we got there.  She looke

Ten Months Old!

Addison turned 10 months old on May 26, 2011! Only two months away from being one year old!  How crazy!  Addison had her "9 month" well child visit last Friday.  At that time, she was 20 lbs 5.2 ounces, which placed her in the 66.53 percentile.  Her height was 2'5.5", 92.29%.  Her head circumference was 45.5cm, 82.88%.  Big girl! She wears mostly 12 month clothes.  She was getting into size 4 diapers, but we switched over to Target brand, which I love!, and in those, a size 3 fits her best.  Her shoe size is 2-3, and she's getting a little better at not pulling them off as quickly.  She LOVES to eat!  She isn't patient enough to sit through a whole book, but she likes playing with them.  A couple of weeks ago, she gave up the army crawl and has gotten a lot faster at crawling like a big girl.  She pulls up on everything and can walk behind a toy, but not alone yet, although she is just beginning to stand on her own....at least until she realizes what she'

Good-bye bottles and baby food

In the last week, Addison has decided that she is over the whole baby food thing.  She got a taste of the real stuff and there was no going back.  She has eaten about every fruit you can think of...strawberries, banans, apples, oranges, peaches, pears, kiwi, cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew melon, blueberries, grapes.  She loves them all.  Her favorite thing to eat, however, is any kind of beans or peas.  She loves sweet peas, butter beans, string beans, black-eyed peas, and baked beans.  She also likes carrots, squash, corn, sweet potatos, broccoli, rice, cucumbers, and spaghetti.  Here is her first spaghetti pic... She also likes every kind of meat we have given her...grilled chicken breasts, pork chops, turkey hot dogs, chicken hot dogs, and chicken nuggets.  The only baby food she will still eat is her puffs.  Although I have been warned that she may still become a picky eater, I am hoping that she will always enjoy such healthy foods!  It has been a lot of work cooking all of her

Weekend Fun

Image
We LOVE the weekends!  Here is a taste of our fun over the past couple of weekends... Relay for Life: Addison loves propping her leg up.  She rode around for over an hour like this... Always a lady....ha!  We had so many concerned people stop us to tell us her foot was stuck.  But no, she was just chillin'! Silly little girl :) Playgroup at Anna Kate's house: Click here... http://thebeddardcrew.blogspot.com/2011/04/meet-play-group.html  to meet all 13 babies that were there, including the hostess, Miss Anna Kate.  Hanging out with Lukey-Luke: Addison LOVES Luke!  He came to hang out with us for a few hours last weekend.  She literally looked at him like this for at least 15 minutes... She could not stop smiling!  She thinks Luke is so funny  They had so much fun destroying my living room :P  But they can get away with it....because they are so darn cute!! Mother's Day Celebration It was great to celebrate Mother's Day as a new mommy this year! Wh

9 Months Old

On April 26, little miss Addison turned 9 months old!  These months just seem to be flying by faster and faster!  I haven't weighed Addison in a while so I really have no idea what she weighs.  All I know is, she is as solid as a rock!  Little Luke is almost 5 months older than her and looks bigger than her, but feels like a feather after holding her.  My daddy told me last night when he was holding her that I must have put bricks in her diaper because she was so heavy.  Ha!  She has a Dr appointment soon, so we will find out what she weighs then.  She doesn't look really big though.  She wears 9-12 month clothes and just started wearing size 4 diapers.  She has been down to 3 bottles a day and 3 meals a day for about a month now.  (LOVE!)  We are just starting to really do some research on what foods we will be able to give her with her milk and egg allergies.  It should be interesting, but we can handle it :)  Addison is getting a little braver pulling up on things and stand

Easter Weekend

Image
What an appropriately beautiful day it was last Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of our saviour!  I just love Easter and what it means for me and you!  Our Easter celebration started on Saturday.  We were so happy to have Mindy, Bobby, Landon, Luke, Michelle, Peyton, Connor, Jane, Gerald, Amy, and Hayden join us for Easter service at our church.  Adam and I have been going to Covenant church in Greenville, NC for 5 years now.  We love our church and are always happy to have anyone join us!  Here are some pictures from the easter egg hunt following the service... Addison was proud of her two easter eggs! ...                     Easter Sunday we got up to see what the easter bunny had brought Addison... You see what she went for first....her puffs!  Little piggy :) Then we headed to the river to spend Easter Sunday with "the boys".  Grandma Sue-Sue (my mom) put together the cutest basket for Addison ... She painted her name on a huge egg.  She is so craf
