Broughton-Four Months Old!

Image
This sweet thing turned 4 months old on October 20!  He had his 4-month check-up and immunizations on Friday.  He was 16 lbs, 5 oz.  He was in the 75th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for his height.  Big boy!  He is getting over his little cold, although he still is a little stuffy from time to time.  Thankfully, though, he is still all smiles... Broughton has a very sweet personality.  He absolutely loves Addison and thinks she is just hilarious!  She tells us all the time, "He's smiling at me."  or "He just laughed at me".  It makes her so proud!  He is just getting into a size 3 diaper, and wears mostly 6m clothes.  Any 6m with feet in it, though, he is about to outgrow.  I still haven't tried any shoes on him.  I am not a fan of shoes...or socks for that matter, as my family knows :) He wants to sit up some kind of bad and can do it on his own for just a few seconds.  He is reaching for everything... He gets t

Addison Lately

A little about Addison these days... She loves to line up random things around the house to make a "train".  She has been doing this for months.  The other night, Broughton was laying on the floor...she lined up things on either side of his head and made him part of her train.  It was too funny!  Wish I had a picture of it.  Here are a few pics of her playing with Broughton , though... She likes to read him books... She does love that boy!  She loves him so much, just yesterday she looked me dead in the eye and said, "I want two brothers".  I said, "You do?"  She said, "Uh-huh."  I said, "What if we had another girl instead?"  She said, "Oh"...and looked a little disappointed.  I said, "If you had another baby, would you want it to be a brother or sister?"  She quickly said, with a big grin, "a brother!".  Then I told her we might would have another one if she could get a job and pa

Brother's First Little Cold :(

Our sweet boy has not been too happy these past few days.  His little nose decided on Friday that it wanted to get all stuffy.  If he could blow his nose, life would be much easier!  Unfortunately, he won't be able to figure that one out for quite sometime :(  He has been spitting up a lot more too, and not eating as much.  Adam took him to the Dr on Friday because they told us he had a fever at daycare.  (He weighed a whopping 16.76 lbs, btw.) Thankfully, when he went to the Dr he didn't have a fever.  They checked everything out and said he looked OK...ears were fine, chest was clear...just congested in his nose.  Doesn't sound too bad, right?  Well, babies this age haven't quite figured out that they can breathe through their mouths.  Instinc/Reflexes kick in and they do it....but not without a struggle.  And it is extremely hard to get a bottle down when he can't breathe through his nose.  Somehow, by the grace of God, he has still been sleeping through t

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Happy Birthday, Claire Bear!

Last weekend, me and the family headed to Briley's farm to celebrate Claire's 2nd birthday!  Claire goes to the same daycare as Addison.  She used to be in Addison's class, but this year, they are in different classes :(  But that's OK, because they are still buddies!  Addison went home with Claire the afternoon before her party.  The plan was to take them to the movies for the first time....to watch Finding Nemo.  Here is a picture of them waiting for the movie to start... Unfortunately, they didn't make it far past this point.  Addison was not a fan of the loud noise.  Claire's mommy took them to Chickfila afterward, though, and they had a blast!  Then, the next day, it was time for Claire's party!!!  I took lots of pictures for Kaitlyn (Claire's mommy).  Here is a picture of the birthday girl... All the kids had a great time!  They played on the swing set, a big sand pile,  We all went on a hayride and the little ones picked out t
