Lately

Sorry I have been absent lately, but it has been hard to find time to sit.  I recently decided that it was finally time to start taking care of myself.  I have had more appointments in the last couple of weeks as a result.  First of all, I had my annual physical...check.  Then it was an eye dr appointment...check.  Next, I got my cavities filled.  I know, I am a dental hygienist...I shouldn't have cavities :(   nevertheless...check.  Tomorrow, hopefully it's a haircut and then Friday I am scheduled to have my wisdom teeth taken out...Yikes!  And last, but not least, I went to my first chiropractor appointment about a month ago and have been going weekly ever since.  I will have more to say about the chiropractor later, but for now, let me just say that Dr Cohen is my new best friend!!!  Love, love, love my chiropractor!  As for the hubbie and the baby...they are doing great!  Adam has had a little more free time on his hands than he normally has this year, due to Irene wiping

Collard Festival, ECU football, and Pa-Pa's birthday

What a fun weekend we have had surrounded by family and friends!  Thursday night, Adam, myself, and Addison went out to the Collard Festival in Ayden.  This was Addison's first little festival she has been to where she was actually awake.  Ha!  When we first got there, Addison wasn't sure what to think about the loud music.  It didn't take her long, though, to get warmed up.  Once we put her down, she was all over the place.  Here she is having a slushie with Daddy... And look who we saw while we were there.... Grandma and Grandpa!  happy girl... Friday, me and my sister, Mindy, helped my mom and dad move some things out of their home.  Irene made a mess of their house!  We are praying that they will be able to start building a new house very soon!  Today, Addison and I met some family and friends and went tailgating before ECU's first home game of the season.  We didn't have tickets to the game, but we had a great time tailgating!  That was about all Addison

Paw-Paw

Last week, me and my family lost our "Paw-Paw".  Paw-Paw (Floyd Foster) is my grandfather, my mom's dad.  He was 81 years old.  It is at times like these that I am at a loss for words.  Please just pray for my grandmother, "MaMaw", my mom, my Aunt, Patti, and all of our loved ones as we deal with this loss.  We all love you, Paw-Paw!  You will be sorely missed!  Thank you for all the memories that I now hold on to so tightly!  xoxoxox

13 Months Old!

Addison turned 13 months old on August 26.  What a busy girl she has been!  She finally decided to give up crawling on Aug 16 and has been walking all over the place ever since!  She is such a happy little girl!  Isn't that crazy....little girl.  I finally see her as a little girl and no longer a baby.  This is a little sad, but exciting and fun at the same time.  She has grown up so much in the last month!  She doesn't hesitate to let you know what she wants by shaking her head yes or no.  She also is beginning to learn sign language.  She has "eat" and "more" down pat.  The first thing she does every day that I pick her up is sign that she wants to eat.  Here she is doing just that.  I know in this picture it looks like she is about to blow a kiss, but believe me, she is saying, "eat, eat"! Ha! And thankfully, she still eats so good!  Her favorite food is definitely bananas.  She is starting to say "Nana".  She also loves baked bea
