So, what has Adam been up to?

Image
Oh, the life of a farmer....and a farmer's wife.  Adam has had some really long hours lately, but this is the busiest time of year for him.  He farms with his dad.  Although the hours are ridiculous, I think Adam really enjoys farming.  This is a little hint of what he's been up to lately... TOBACCO!!! TOBACCO!!! AND MORE TOBACCO!!!  Although I am thankful for the work that Adam has, I am sooooo ready for the wintertime when he isn't quite so busy.

Karly is 4!

Last Sunday, Adam, Addison, and I went to the little park on Firetower Road to celebrate the 4th birthday of one of my best friends, Lorie's little girl, Karly.  It was such a beautiful day for a party.  I think everyone had a great time... THE BIRTHDAY GIRL... THE KIDS HAVING FUN ON THE PLAYGROUND Landon: Peyton: Savannah: Karly: TIME FOR CAKE!  Luke wishing he was eating cake: PRESENTS!  This is what my so very talented mother painted for Karly's birthday...  Addison enjoyed the party too...  Stretching after her afternoon nap: Most of the crowd: Thanks for allowing us to share in this special celebration!  We look forward to many more birthday parties in the future!!!!!!!  Happy Birthday, Karly!!!!!!!

Hanging out with Grandma Sue-Sue

Last Saturday, Michelle and I attended a local photography class given by Ginny Corbett.  It was an awesome class for beginners!  Ginny Corbett is an extremely talented photographer and an excellent teacher!  I really enjoyed the class and have had fun practicing what I learned.  Meanwhile, back at the farm...Addison was spending a little quality time with Grandma Sue-Sue... It was so fun watching Addison respond to her Grandma Sue-Sue!  My mom has a distinct laugh/giggle.  Every time my mom laughs my beagle, Sadie, wags her tail.  We have always gotten a big kick out of that.  Well now Addison does the baby version of the tail wag and just gives the biggest grin when my mom giggles.  It is so sweet!  Thanks so much, Grandma Sue-Sue, for babysitting Addison!

Back to work I go

This was my second week back to work since little Addison was born.  Although I have been completely exhausted, it is great to be back!  I truly missed all of my co-workers.  They certainly make the transition back to work easier.  It took me a few days to get back in the swing of things, but I think I am back on track now.  Thanks, team, for all of your support!  Stan, Polly, Jackie, Me, Candy, and Dr Abdul: If you are in the area and need an AWESOME dentist...come on down to Contemporary Dental in Winterville, NC  and prepare to be wow'd with EXCELLENT service!!  http://drabdul-karim.com/DRABDUL/demo3/index.html

Quite the Social Butterfly

Last Friday night Adam and I took Addison to her second birthday party.  This one was a surprise 30th birthday party that Adam's cousin, Daniel, threw for his wife, Tiffany.  This is when Tiffany first walked through the door... Daniel did a great job because Tiff was completely surprised!  We had such a good time and were so happy to join in the celebration.  Addison did really good.  Aunt Amy held her for a long time and I think she liked it... She wore her little monogrammed bloomers that my friend, Stacy, gave us at our baby shower.  They are SO CUTE... She got a little fussy when it was time to eat, but as soon as that bottle was in her mouth, she was fine.  We took the opportunity to get a couple of pictures.  Me, Adam, and Addison... Adam's mom, Jane, Adam, Adam's grandfather, Ben, and Addison: My daddy thinks Addison looks just like Adam's grandaddy.  We call him Boompa.  Let me just take a minute to say how awesome Boompa is!  So many people, including Adam

First Day of Daycare

Image
Addison had her first day of daycare on Tuesday.  I swear I feel like she's just too little to go to daycare, but we gotta do what we gotta do :(  Luckily, we take her to a place that is familiar.  Three of my nephews go to the same daycare, Bright Beginnings, and my other nephew graduated from there this past year.  It is only a mile or so down the road so at least we are close.  Adam taking her in: I really like her teacher, Ms Amanda.  You can tell that she just loves them babies!  Here is a picture of Addison and Amanda on her first day, September 07, 2010... There are 3 other babies in her class.  Her cousin, Luke, is one of the three.  They are going to be buddies! The baby roster: Avery was not there on the first day so I didn't get a picture of him, but here is a picture of Luke and Maddyson: They are going to have so much fun growing and learning together!  God bless them babies!!

What a day we had!!

Yesterday was full of fun and adventure for the Beaman family!  Addison attended her first church service, her first ECU football game, and her first birthday party.  First of all, I am ashamed to say that we have not made it to church since Addison was born until this past Sunday.  We finally learned that if we aim for the early service, then we will most likely be able to make it to the late service.  Ha!  You are not allowed to take your children into the nursery until they are 2 months old, so Addison went in the "big church" with us.  The music was so loud, but she slept right through it.  Maybe she remembers hearing the music when she was in my belly.  After church, we decided to brave the crowd at East Carolina's first home football game!  My aunt had tickets that she decided not to use and was nice enough to pass along to us.  Thanks Kim!  We had so much fun and Addison was so good....Thank God!  We had to park a LOOOONG ways away so this adventure started out
