Addison's 2nd Birthday Party

Image
I am way behind on this post, but I didn't want to leave it out.  We had Addison's 2nd birthday party at the park.  It turned out great!  The weather had me a little worried but it ended up being a beautiful day!  Addison was a little quiet because she was so tired.  Unfortunately, she didn't have a nap before her party.  Since we have had Broughton, it has become much harder to get her down for a nap...usually because it's just me with the two of them most of time on the weekends and I honestly hardly even try.  It's just not worth the trouble.   She still had a good time though.  Although, we couldn't get her off the swing.  That girl does love to swing!  Here are a few pictures of the kids playing on the playground...I hate that I didn't get pictures of all the kids, but something is wrong with my camera :( Peek-a-boo! I see you.... PaPa and Mimmy... Del and his mom... Swingin' again... Claire-bear... The olde

Broughton 2 Months Old

Image
Broughton turned 2 months old yesterday!  I thought time flew by when Addison was a baby...but now with a baby AND a toddler, time REALLY flies by!  Broughton is such a sweet baby!  I am not sure of his exact "stats" but the last time I took him to the doctor, which was one week ago, he was 12 lbs.  His two month check-up will be this Friday.  He is wearing size 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.  I haven't tried any shoes on him yet, so I don't know what size shoe he wears.  He suddenly seems more aware of his surroundings and obviously notices things at further distances now.  In the past couple of days, he has realized that his hands are a part of him.  He holds his own weight up on his feet in your lap and his head doesn't wobble much at all anymore.  He smiles a lot when you talk or sing to him.  And he smiles with his whole face... he has dimples and when he smiles really big, he squints his eyes.  Here is a video from a few days ago of him smiling an

The Good News and the Bad News

Just a few things that have been going on lately with the Beaman family...I like to give the bad news first, so here goes... Addison       Bad News:  Addison has a stubborn streak in her.  I can't imagine where in the world she got that from.....Well, this stubborn streak has awarded her a few time-outs and spankings lately.  Yesterday morning, she had a cup full of Lucky Charms...I know, breakfast of champions.  Anyways, she knocked her cup over and Lucky Charms scattered all over the couch.  When I asked her to clean them up, she said, "No".  Well, after giving her several tries and warnings, I spanked her and put her in her chair for time-out.  When I went to get her out of time-out, she told me she was sorry, gave me a hug and then came right back in here and refused to clean up her mess again.  Well, by this time, I was changing Broughton's diaper and Daddy came home.  He told her to clean up her cereal and her stubborn little self wouldn't do it...so sh

First of all, a big shout-out to my man, Jesus!!!!  Prevacid is working for Broughton and I got my happy boy back!!!  Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!!!  Just look how peaceful and relaxed he is now!!!... Yay!... On another note...  Addison wanted me to put her hair in "two ponytails" today.  You know I was happy...it's not always easy getting her to let me do anything with her hair... She had her 2-year check-up on Thursday.  She, too, is doing great.  She is in the 66% for height and 60% for weight.   She did so good at the Dr.  I hope Broughton will do as well.  We shall see.  Ha.  We had to find the Dr when we left (the nurse was the last one in) because her brain would not rest until she told him "Bye".  She is such a flirt- in her own little shy way!  It trips me out.   In fact, she told me last night that Cooper and Ayden (two precious little boys in her class) are her boyfriends.  Ha!  I don't have a picture of Coo
