5 Months Old!

My sweet little blue-eyed boy is 5 months old!   Unfortunately, his cold never completely went away, and it has actually been worse in the last week.  We took him and Addison to the after hours clinic last Friday because they were both running a low grade fever.  We just wanted to make sure they didn't have ear infections or anything like that.  Thankfully, their ears and throats looked fine.  They just have a nasty cold with a nasty cough and horrible congestion.  I can hardly wait for them to feel better!  I think all the babies in Broughton's class have similar symptoms.  Poor babies! Because of his little cold, he hasn't been drinking nearly as much.  He has 4-5 bottles per day and on a healthy day, he drinks about 6-7 ounces at each feeding.  He has been really interested in our food recently.  It is funny the way he stares at your food!  So, we tried rice cereal the night before last and I think he liked it!  We gave him some more last night and he

Fall Fun

I have come to love the fall!  Festivals, pumpkins, leaves, fairs, hot chocolate, seasonal yankee candles, our beautiful red japanese maple, hoodies, Christmas shopping, fireplaces, football, hayrides, and the list goes on.  As a family, we have been enjoying the fall season this year!  We went to the Pitt County Fair a few weeks ago where Addison rode the hobby horses, real ponies, and spinning dragons.  She also had fun looking at the animals... Broughton did the usual, he slept and never knew we were even there. We also recently went to a fall festival that is put on annually by a local church.  Addison and I went to this festival last year and had a great time.  This year, Adam and Broughton joined in the fun!  Surprisingly, shortly after we got there, Addison said she wanted to get her face painted.  We had seen several painted faces and actually watched a few of the people as they were painting, but it did not even cross my mind to ask her if she wanted her f

Halloween 2012

Our computer stopped working and we have been without one until last night!!!  Thank God we bought the service plan and were able to get a replacement!  Needless to say, I am WAY behind on my blog.  So get ready for lots of blogs with little words and tons of pictures :)  I'll start with Halloween.... A boy in Addison's class, Colton,  had a Halloween party last Friday night.  Here are a few pics... Gukey giving Addison hugs before the party.  We stopped them by Shelly's house to get dressed... Our little butterfly...  This is the only picture I got of her little wings.  Aint' they cute? Addison really liked these treats...and so did I!  Biscoff spread inside of Ritz crackers.  Y'all have to try it!  It's also great on apples!  Thanks, Mary Elizabeth Copenhaver, for telling us about these :) Our little skeleton...  We started out Halloween night at Open Door.  They had a little "fall festival" complete with games, b
