Family Fun

Image
Last Saturday morning, Mindy and Michelle both called me at almost exactly the same time and said, "We are all coming to your house."  I, ofcourse, said, "Yay!"  We didnt really have anything planned.  The kids just all got together and did whatever they felt like doing :)  Addison and Luke started out in the playroom while Landon, Peyton, and Connor played in the living room with their pirate men... Luke giving mommy some tea...  Addison trying to figure this toy out... Luke just looking precious...  Landon and Peyton: Addison showing her new favorite toy off to Luke (a cardboard box)...  Connor, really into whatever was on TV.  Maybe it was Dino Dan, Connor's favorite...  Peyton, about to shoot me... Our little house started feeling really small with so much commotion, so we decided to take the party outside.  Here are some pictures of everyone gathering acorns for their daddys to put out for deer...   Just playing around... The kids took a break

Treasures of Healthy Living

Image
This season, God has lead me to a bible study that has been such a blessing to me and my family.  Although I miss my "regular bible study girls" and can hardly wait to join them again, I am so thankful that I was invited to this class.  I tell you, it's amazing what perfect timing God has!!!  I have so much to learn about healthy living.  It can seem so overwhelming sometimes, trying to get it all right.  But I pray that little by little, God will continue to work on me and keep me encouraged.  If you are interested in learning about healthy living, according to God's plan, I highly recommend this study.  It's not always easy to follow, and I ask that you pray for us as we attempt to make this a lifestyle change.  For I know that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"... Phillipians 4:13

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!

15 Months

Image
Life is so fun with our little Addison!  She is getting so big these days!  She turned 15 months old on Oct 26! She had her 15 month check-up this past Friday.  She was such a good girl...I just hated that she had to get shots :(   She weighed 23lbs 8.3 oz, which places her in the 59.77% for weight.  She was 31" long, 65% for height (I think her last measurement of 30" at 12 months was a bit off).  She is suddenly a little girl.  She repeats (or at least attempts to repeat) just about everything you say.  It amazes me how she all of a sudden can talk!  And she seems to understand everything.  Here's a picture from today of her marching in the back yard, with her camo on... She loves to eat, loves books, loves bath time, loves Griffon and Sadie, loves to be outside, and absolutely LOVES to dance!  She has been doing animal sounds a lot.  She says Meow, Woof, Moo, Gobble-gobble, Baaa, Quack, makes a fish face, a noise like a chicken that I'm not sure how to spell, H

Halloween Fun

Image
Sunday night, we went with "the boys" to a fall festival at a local church.  All the kiddos had a great time.  Check out Addison, the cow...Luke, the jackolantern...Landon, the ninja...Peyton, the teenage mutant ninja turtle...and Connor, the stubborn kid who wouldn't put his costume on... I swear that's the cutest cow I have ever laid eyes on.. It was even cuter when she kept pointing at her head and saying, "Mooooo!"  I absolutely MUST get a video camera!  On Halloween night, we started out at Open Door Church (where Addison, Luke, and Connor go to daycare).  They had an awesome set-up there with games and all kinds of activities.  Unfortunately, we weren't there long before we got rained out.  Addison dressed up in an elephant costume that belonged to Savannah.  We saw Savannah (dressed up like some kind of beautiful something?) and her new brother, Liam (dressed up like a lobster)... Once the rain really started coming down, we headed to Snow Hill t

Vacation and Pumpkin Patch

Image
Last week, Adam and I took a little trip to Gordonsville, VA...just the two of us :)  We had a great time!!!  The scenery was beautiful, just outside of the mountains.  We did a lot of hiking/jogging and shopping...good times!  We stayed in a yurt, which was pretty neat.  Here is a picture of our yurt from the outside... It's basically a fancy tent.  Here are a couple of views from the inside... I'm so glad I got to take a little mini-vaca with my love :) And a special thanks to Grandpa and MiMi (Adam's Dad and step-mom) for keeping our little butter bean.  We were so happy to get updates on her throughout our trip.  She obviously had so much fun and enjoyed our vacation as much as we did  :)  Last weekend, Mindy and I took Luke and Addison to the pumpkin patch for some fun and photos.  They had SO MUCH FUN!  And we got SO many photos.  I hope you enjoy...   And now, for my favorite picture of the day... So sweet!!!
