Happy 3 Months, Addison!!

Image
It's October 26, 2010 and our sweet baby girl is 3 months old today!!!  And guess what... she laughed yesterday!  Not that little squeal of a laugh that is precious none the less, but a real, long, oh so happy laugh!  Adam got right in her face and made some crazy noise and face and she thought it was just the funniest thing in the world.  She laughed really good twice and me and Adam just ate it up!  She is going to be so ticklish too because she twitches like crazy if you try to tickle her, but those twitches will soon be hysterical laughs.  I can't wait!  They said she laughed at daycare today too!  Her cousin, Luke, got right in her face and she laughed.  Apparently she thinks its comical when you get right in her face  :)  As for updates, our sweet Addie Leigh is wearing a size 1-2 diaper, but will soon be in size 2 because we are almost out of the size 1-2.  Ha!  In most clothes she wears a size 3-6 month.  She still hasn't worn a pair of shoes yet, but I tried to pu

Weekend with Grandparents!

Image
Unfortunately I don't have a single picture to show for it, but Addison had a great weekend visiting with grandparents!  Friday, me and my mom, Grandma Sue-Sue, picked Addison up from daycare and took her shopping.  It was so much fun!  Grandma also gave Addison a beautiful pink polka-dotted chair that she picked up earlier, a little white Christmas tree for her room and some pretty pink, teal, and lime green ornaments.  She even bought us pretty wrapping paper to match.  Grandma Sue-Sue has such great style!!  We LOVE all the gifts!!  After we went shopping, we went to Cracker Barrell for some good eating!  It was sooo yummy!  Then, Saturday, Grandma Jane-Jane called.  It had been 2 weeks since she had seen her little grandbaby, and I think she was getting "the itch".  It worked out great because Mindy and I were scheduled to do a photo shoot at 3:00 and I hadn't quite figured out what I was going to do with booger bear during that time.  So, Jane-Jane came over at

Tobacco has slowed down a little but Adam hasn't.  He has been busy picking corn.  Addison and I decided to join in the fun one day..... Daddy's little farming buddy:  Riding in the combine with Daddy:  Maybe Daddy will teach her how to drive one day... Can't wait to visit Daddy at work again soon!!!

Mommy's Little Pumpkin

Image
Me and Adam took Addison to the pumpkin patch today to pick out a pumpkin for carving. Ofcourse, while we were there we had to take a few snapshots! Check out Mommy's Little Pumpkin... Grandma Sue-Sue gave her the precious trick-or-treat bag.  It's almost bigger than she is.  Ha! Stay tuned for pictures of Addison in her sweet Halloween costume!

Poor Baby!

Image
Well, last Friday, I took Addison to the night clinic to have her neck checked out. She had a horrible rash under her neck that just looked awful! The doctor sent us home with some cream for yeast. Poor baby had a yeast infection under her neck. They said it is from moisture. Because she spits up right much and pretty much has nothing but rolls for a neck, it is really hard to keep it dry. We (us and daycare) are being extra careful now to keep it as dry as possible. Unfortunately, though, after a week, her rash had not gotten much better and had actually spread a little. I made an appointment for Friday morning at our regular doctor, Our Children's Clinic. The dr gave us a prescription for Diflucan and a long list of over the counter things for us to get. This is pretty much for future reference for myself........The Diflucan is an oral liquid rx for the yeast infection under her neck. I am also supposed to put lotrimin, an antifungal ointment, under her neck every day. Once it cl

For those of you wondering how our dogs are coping with a new baby in the house.... Griffon is having fun being a big brother.  He has been teaching Addison to roll over... And Sadie.....well Sadie has been trying hard to prove that she is still the baby.... :)

Addison goes to Burlington

Image
Last weekend me, Adam, and Addison went to visit my family in Burlington.  We went straight to my cousin, Allen's high school football game.  I had planned to get some pictures with my "good camera" of Allen out on the field, but unfortunately my battery was dead and my very intelligent self left my camera bag with my charger in it at the camper a couple of weeks ago.  I did get a couple of cute pics of Adam and Addison though with my "little camera".  Adam put her in our little baby carrier for the first time and she did so good... How cute are those little socks that look like slippers?  Cathy gave her those  :)  I wish I had a picture of her entire outfit...it was just darlin'.  Oh well.  Anyways, we weren't there long before Addison had to have a bottle...surprise surprise.  Ha! Then, a VERY MESSY diaper and a change of clothes later and Addison was out... She woke up, though, when we got to Mamaw and Pawpaw's house.  Mamaw was so happy to f

Two Months Old!!

Image
I have been meaning to write this blog since September 26.  That is the day that Addison turned 2 months old!  She had her 2 month Dr appointment a few days later on October 1.  At that appointment, she weighed 12 lbs, 5 oz and was 23.5 inches long.  Addison has been so much fun lately!  She is suddenly aware of everything around her.  She has recently been interested in the TV so we have been turning it to cartoons.  I think she likes all the bright colors!  She loves to watch Griffon and Sadie.  She is sooooo happy!  She smiles at everything...unless, ofcourse, she is hungry.  That has not changed, she still loves her milk.  She normally drinks 4-5 ounce bottles during the day, every 3-4 hours.  At night she drinks more, sometimes as much as 8 ounces!  The Dr said that was fine as long as she is happy and not spitting it all up!  She has been sleeping about 8 hours a night, although last night she slept over 10 hours straight!  I sure hope she makes a habit of that.  She wears size 1

Addison's first night away from home

Image
Last Saturday morning I had to work so Addison spent the first half of the day with Lorie and Karly.  I think Addison was laying it on pretty thick.  Lorie said that every time she put her down she would get fussy and then would smile as soon as she picked her up.  I think she was testing Lorie.  Ha!  I went to pick her up around 2 and took her straight to Grandma Jane-Jane's house for her first sleepover.  Then Adam and I went down to our little camper at Tranter's Creek Campground in Washington, NC to celebrate the 12 years that we have been together (We started dating September 25, 1998).  I went down about an hour sooner than Adam and filled the camper with helium balloons to surprise him.  I bought some beautiful roses to sit on the table and made a lovely fruit salad.  It was very simple, but I think Adam appreciated the effort :)  We headed over to Blake and Nick's camper to cook out on the grill and have a couple of drinks.  It was so nice just to relax!  The next m
