Weekend Fun

We LOVE the weekends!  Here is a taste of our fun over the past couple of weekends...

Relay for Life:

Addison loves propping her leg up.  She rode around for over an hour like this...

Always a lady....ha!  We had so many concerned people stop us to tell us her foot was stuck.  But no, she was just chillin'! Silly little girl :)

Hanging out with Lukey-Luke:

Addison LOVES Luke!  He came to hang out with us for a few hours last weekend.  She literally looked at him like this for at least 15 minutes...
She could not stop smiling!  She thinks Luke is so funny 

They had so much fun destroying my living room :P

 But they can get away with it....because they are so darn cute!!



Mother's Day Celebration
It was great to celebrate Mother's Day as a new mommy this year!



What a rewarding job motherhood is!  Thank-you, Lord, for choosing me to be Addison's mom!

We had lunch with Jane, Gerald, Amy, Chris, Hayden, and Boompa. 


Then we stopped by Adam's uncle's house to give Grandmama Beaman some mother's day love :)  I hope all you mommies out there had an AWESOME mother's day this year!  And for those out there wishing to be mommies...I am sending up prayers on your behalf! 

Seven Years and Counting
Adam and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary on May 6.  Lorie was awesome enough to volunteer to keep Addison so the two of us could go out to dinner.  We had a great time.  We went to Texas steakhouse for the first time (Feel free to laugh....we don't get out much).  I think Addison had a good time playing with Karly.  Apparently Karly wore her out, though, because this is how we found her...

So sweet! 

Fun with neighbors
Addison had so much fun riding the golf cart with her neighborhood friends :)  We look forward to so much fun with them in the future and can hardly wait to meet the new baby that is due in June!

Addison's first babysitters

This past Saturday night, Adam and I headed out for the first time without our little "butter bean".  Everyone keeps asking me if I cried, but I knew she was safe with Grandma Jane-Jane and Grandpa Gerald, so there were no need for tears.  Plus, they were babysitting at our house and I knew I'd see her in just a few hours, so it wasn't so bad.  We went to Adam's 10 year class reunion and had so much fun!  There was a great crowd there, at the City Hotel and Bistro.  It was so good to see everyone!  I graduated just one year ahead of Adam, so I knew a lot of people at the reunion too, even though it was for the c/o 2000.  Here are a couple of snapshots...I am hoping to get more pictures from Lorie's camera to add to my blog, but this is all I have for now... Look Who's One!

July 26, 2011...Addison's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!  I don't even know what to say.  There are so many things I have thought about writing for this blog, but right now all I can think to say is THANK YOU JESUS for choosing Adam and myself to watch over your precious baby Addison Leigh!  And THANK YOU JESUS for the blessing that she continues to be each and every day to so many people! I just can't believe it has been a whole year since we were at the hospital welcoming our new baby to the world.  And now here she is standing all by herself... She's still not walking on her own, but has been doing the bear walk a lot lately... She wears 12-18 month clothes, size 3-4 diapers, and size 3 shoes.  She started drinking big girl milk (soy milk) a couple of days ago, so no more formula!  She is still a GREAT eater!  And she still will let the whole world know if her belly is hungry!  She still LOVES to dance more than anything in the world!  She added a new word to her "vocabu
