6 Month Check-up and play time

Last Friday, Addison had her 6 Month Check-up, (although she is over 7 months old).  She weighed 18 lbs, 13.4 oz (75.63 percentile).  She was 27" long (62.98 percentile).  Her head circumference was 17.44" (78.81 percentile).  She had a shot in each leg and one in her left arm.  She did really well.  She screamed bloody murder, but only for about 15 seconds.  She was laughing again before we even got out of the room.....I just love that kid! 
She still isn't crawling, but is doing the "army crawl" really well.  I will have to get this on video one day.  She says "Da Da Da Da Da" all the time!  Still no "Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma".  Little turkey! 

She loves her cousins! Hayden came over last weekend. She loves to look at him and laugh at him. Me and Amy took them on a stroll down the path. She wore sunglasses for the first time. She didn't seem to mind them a bit...



 Today Landon and Luke came over. She had a blast with them...

 And we wouldn't want to leave Peyton and Connor out.  Unfortunately their household is a little under the weather so they couldn't come out and play.  Hope you guys feel better soon!
Addison is so lucky to have so many cousins to play with and to grow up with!  What a blessing!!

This past Saturday night, Adam and I headed out for the first time without our little "butter bean".  Everyone keeps asking me if I cried, but I knew she was safe with Grandma Jane-Jane and Grandpa Gerald, so there were no need for tears.  Plus, they were babysitting at our house and I knew I'd see her in just a few hours, so it wasn't so bad.  We went to Adam's 10 year class reunion and had so much fun!  There was a great crowd there, at the City Hotel and Bistro.  It was so good to see everyone!  I graduated just one year ahead of Adam, so I knew a lot of people at the reunion too, even though it was for the c/o 2000.  Here are a couple of snapshots...I am hoping to get more pictures from Lorie's camera to add to my blog, but this is all I have for now... Look Who's One!

July 26, 2011...Addison's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!  I don't even know what to say.  There are so many things I have thought about writing for this blog, but right now all I can think to say is THANK YOU JESUS for choosing Adam and myself to watch over your precious baby Addison Leigh!  And THANK YOU JESUS for the blessing that she continues to be each and every day to so many people! I just can't believe it has been a whole year since we were at the hospital welcoming our new baby to the world.  And now here she is standing all by herself... She's still not walking on her own, but has been doing the bear walk a lot lately... She wears 12-18 month clothes, size 3-4 diapers, and size 3 shoes.  She started drinking big girl milk (soy milk) a couple of days ago, so no more formula!  She is still a GREAT eater!  And she still will let the whole world know if her belly is hungry!  She still LOVES to dance more than anything in the world!  She added a new word to her "vocabu
