Broughton turns 2!

Brought-Brought turned 2 on June 20, 2014!  I can hardly believe it's been 2 years, but at the same time, it feels like he's always been with us.  Words cannot express how much we love this precious little boy!  He is so full of energy and is the snuggliest baby in the world!  

He is ALL BOY...rough, tough, and abnormally, unbelievably STRONG!  However, he seems to have calmed down a slight little bitty bit from a few months ago, which is nice.  He absolutely LOVES tractors, possibly even more than he loves balls.  

He also loves trucks, trains, and dogs.  He loves to climb, spin, and "go fast" on anything.  He loves the beach and the pool and pretty much has no fear...if we had a pool to practice in regularly, I think I could teach him how to swim in no time.  

He is still a good eater, but is getting pickier than he used to be.  Like his sister, he sleeps good through the night, but it is ridiculously late when he finally goes down - totally our fault!  

He loves his stuffed animals...he isn't attached to any particular one, but at night and in the morning, he just likes to hold onto one of them...it's the cutest thing...and one of the few things that makes him look like a 2 year old instead of a 5 year old.  

He says nearly any and everything at home, but still doesn't talk much at school.  At home,  he has actually been speaking in sentences some lately.  "But I want to mash the button." , "Where is Addison?  She's right there!", "Want to watch Paw Patrol", "Brought Brought's turn for TV side", "Need to pee pee in little (lille) potty."  ...and speaking of that, he is doing really well with potty training!  He only wears diapers at nap time and bedtime now.  He still has accidents occasionally and certainly hasn't gotten #2 down pat, but I think he's doing great!  

He can count to 12 but you have to catch him doing it on his own...if you ask him to count for you, he just grins-little stinker.  He's a bit of a clown and still reminds me of my Dad.  It's quite often that Adam and I say, "He looks like Daddy/your Daddy when he does that."  

He adores his sister and pretty much copies everything she does and says.  She is the first thing he thanks God for every night! 

He is so affectionate-loves to hug, give kisses, hold hands with Mommy, Daddy, and "Ada".  In this picture, Addison was in time-out.  Apparently,  Broughton thought she looked like she needed a kiss...

He loves to play in the dirt, ride the golf cart, and shoot basketball.  

He also loves his cousins...he especially thinks the world of Landon, it's the cutest thing!  He is a big boy!  He wears size 3T/4T shirts, size 3/4 underwear, but still size 2T shorts because his legs are short.  He weighs 32lbs, but feels like he weighs 50-solid as a rock!  

  

Instead of having a big birthday party, this year we decided to spend the money on a beach trip instead.  He had a blast!  

As you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed his cake and ice-cream!...

Happy, happy birthday, Brought-Brought Brother!  You are a handful!  A messy, energetic, loving, strong, handsome, destructive, sweet, sweet handful and we thank God every day that you came into our lives!  May God bless you with many many more happy birthdays, sweet boy!
