Broughton, ONE YEAR OLD!!!

Broughton's FIRST Birthday was June 20, 2013!!! I thought time flew by with Addison...it has flown by about 5 times faster with Brother! I can hardly even remember him being a newborn. Crazy!

This sweet boy had his one year shots and check-up just after turning one (btw, he did not shed a tear). He weighed 23.8 lbs and is as healthy and strong as a horse! He loves any and all balls...

He has been walking really well for about a month now...

He likes to "talk on the phone"...

But more than anything, he likes to eat!

He seriously eats like a grown man! He doesn't always stop when he's full. We sometimes have to stop him...twice he has eaten too much and thrown up. Not cool.

So far, him and his sister get along amazingly...

He had a bad habit of standing in his crib and shaking the rail back and forth. He does this to everything...like a bear or something he just grips stuff and with all his might (which is a lot) he heavy-handedly shakes stuff/pulls on stuff. Well, we realized some time ago that as he did this to his crib, the screws were coming out. Daily I would have to tighten screws. Finally, I decided to just get rid of the whole crib! I know it seems early for him to be in a "big bed", but the crib was just becoming dangerous. Between the screw coming out and him wanting to climb...this became a better option...

Since this picture, we have switched the bed rail out to a taller one because he kept trying to climb over this one (even though he can get off his bed at the end). Yep, he is that kid! He pretty much enjoys anything dangerous. I have said so many times...I used to think all these child-proof gadgets were overkill....now I know that for some kids....they are ALL necessary!

I also used to think some straps were just ridiculous. However, we always use straps with Broughton...on everything! ...this is him in his high chair before we strapped him in. By the time I got to him, his little foot was already on the table!

We celebrated his birthday at Sue-Sue and PaPa's house with spaghetti and cake! Addison and Broughton went to town on the spaghetti!

Broughton was also a big fan of the cake!!! Addison had oreos ;)

Just recently he has started pushing trucks (or anything with wheels) around the house. I think it is the cutest thing in the world...makes him look like such a boy!

He has the cutest little wave. Any time he hears anybody say Hey, he starts waving. He has 8 teeth: 4 on the top, and 4 on the bottom. He had his first visit to the dentist last week. Surprisingly, again, he did not shed a tear (Addison, on the other hand did shed a few)...

His new favorite book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear...which I love because we used to read this one to Addison every night...it was her favorite too! He doesn't watch TV at all. He likes bath time and loves dogs! He loves to swing!

We have turned him around in the big car seat a few times, but he usually still rides in his "backwards" car seat. He is almost too big for it, but it is kinda his comfort zone. Every time we strap him in, he almost immediately gets in his "chilling pose"...
