Baby Beaman #2

Well, I won't keep you in suspense...Addison is going to have.........

a sweet baby BROTHER!!!

We had our ultrasound on Monday, February 6.  Thanks to the good Lord above, our little baby Beaman #2 is looking healthy and strong, with a heart rate of 151 bpm.  It is truly amazing what ultrasound technology can show.  We saw the different parts of his brain, the four chambers of the heart, sweet little fingers and toes.  We saw all these things with Addison too, but it never ceases to amaze me...God is just so awesome!  As for the sex of the baby....that was a surprise for us.  First of all, we have a little girl, so it's easy for your brain to think girl.  Also, my friend did a quick ultrasound on me a couple of weeks earlier and she felt about 75% sure that it was a girl.  It was hard for her to tell because the cord was in between the baby's legs the entire time and we were only 16 weeks, which is a little early to find out the sex for sure.  Still, though, we were thinking girl.  And early on at our "official" ultrasound, our little boy didn't feel like showing off, and the sonographer said, "I don't want to call it yet, but I am pretty sure we have a girl in here."  Then, all of a sudden, he decided to move and there was no denying it.  She then said, "OK, now I am 99.9% sure that this is a boy!"  Boy??!!!  We weren't sure what to think.  Well, is it a boy or a girl?  Then, he moved again, and we saw, without a doubt, that this is, in fact, a precious baby boy!  Because we both kind-of wanted another girl, it took us a little while to wrap our brains around the idea of having a boy.  But now, I cannot explain just how excited we are!  It is just amazing how God knows what we need more than we do!  Thank-you, God, for this son, this brother, this grandson, this nephew!  Thank you for this sweet baby boy!
