Collard Festival, ECU football, and Pa-Pa's birthday
What a fun weekend we have had surrounded by family and friends! Thursday night, Adam, myself, and Addison went out to the Collard Festival in Ayden. This was Addison's first little festival she has been to where she was actually awake. Ha! When we first got there, Addison wasn't sure what to think about the loud music. It didn't take her long, though, to get warmed up. Once we put her down, she was all over the place. Here she is having a slushie with Daddy...
Friday, me and my sister, Mindy, helped my mom and dad move some things out of their home. Irene made a mess of their house! We are praying that they will be able to start building a new house very soon!
And look who we saw while we were there....
Grandma and Grandpa!
happy girl...

Today, Addison and I met some family and friends and went tailgating before ECU's first home game of the season. We didn't have tickets to the game, but we had a great time tailgating! That was about all Addison could handle, anyway, considering she had only napped for about 10 minutes all day! She was good though, just a little quiet because she was sooooo sleepy.
Here we are getting ready to head out...
At the tailgating "field"....
Look at my precious little pirate...
soooooo sleepy...
We came home after tailgating and were sad to discover that the we don't get the channel that showed the ECU game on tv. So, we listened on the radio. Unfortunately, ECU didn't pull out a win, but we are still proud to be PIRATES!!!
Addison took a nap and when she woke up, it was time to party again....for Pa-Pa's (my Daddy's) birthday celebration. Everyone came over to our house for Spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and chocolate pie to celebrate Daddy's 59th birthday. We had a blast!
Addison and Luke having a "tea party"...
Addison kept wanting to hold Peyton's hand (really just his finger). It was too sweet...
Aunt Mimmy is so fun...
Lukey-Luke's turn...
Daddy opening his present...
My Mom and Dad lost their very best friend a few weeks ago...their beloved boxer, BJ. BJ was truly the sweetest dog I have ever known. He was also the most spoiled dog I have ever known :) My parents loved him as if he was one of us and it was a sad day, to say the least, when BJ had to be put to sleep. He lived to be 12 years old, which is a long time for a boxer. He started having health problems at about 11 years. It is unbelievable what my Dad did every day to care for his best friend. Unfortunately, there finally came a point in time when there was no more that my folks could do for sweet old BJ. For my Dad's birthday, we gave him an album filled with pictures of BJ, from the time he was a pup up until his last days. We also had a recent picture of BJ framed for them to some day put in their new house. I think he LOVED his present! Happy Birthday, Daddy. We LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
And good-night to all
