Addison's 1st Birthday Party!

We celebrated Addison's first birthday a couple of Saturdays ago at the river.  Despite the horrible forecast, the day was absolutely beautiful!  Thank-you, Jesus!  I was hoping to put her invitations on the blog, but I cannot seem to figure out how to do that.  Anyways, you will just have to trust me when I say that they were cute as pie, if I do say so myself  :)  (that is just my kind of thing :) We had lots of water fun for the kids....slip-n-slides, pools, the river...


We are so happy that everyone had a great time!...


And Addison is so happy that her Grandma Jane-Jane made her a dairy-free, egg-free birthday cake...
Because Addison has been so blessed with way too many toys and outfits, we asked that everybody bring school supplies for needy kids in the area instead.  We ended up with LOTS of goodies!  They were donated to a local outreach ministry, Glory Thru Me Outreach.  As of now, 13 children have been supplied for school, and there is still more to give away!  Thanks, everyone for your donations!




Addison still got some gifts, but she had fun opening both her gifts and the donations...




Thanks so much to everyone who came to help us celebrate!  And a special thanks to mama, Mindy, and Kim!!!  This party would never have happened without you 3!!! Love you all bunches!!  Oh, and thanks to Lorie for keeping Addison that night so Adam and I could sleep in!!  :)

I still can't believe our baby girl is one year old....well, actually 13 months today....which will lead me to my next blog....stay tuned :)

Addison's first babysitters

This past Saturday night, Adam and I headed out for the first time without our little "butter bean".  Everyone keeps asking me if I cried, but I knew she was safe with Grandma Jane-Jane and Grandpa Gerald, so there were no need for tears.  Plus, they were babysitting at our house and I knew I'd see her in just a few hours, so it wasn't so bad.  We went to Adam's 10 year class reunion and had so much fun!  There was a great crowd there, at the City Hotel and Bistro.  It was so good to see everyone!  I graduated just one year ahead of Adam, so I knew a lot of people at the reunion too, even though it was for the c/o 2000.  Here are a couple of snapshots...I am hoping to get more pictures from Lorie's camera to add to my blog, but this is all I have for now... Look Who's One!

July 26, 2011...Addison's FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!  I don't even know what to say.  There are so many things I have thought about writing for this blog, but right now all I can think to say is THANK YOU JESUS for choosing Adam and myself to watch over your precious baby Addison Leigh!  And THANK YOU JESUS for the blessing that she continues to be each and every day to so many people! I just can't believe it has been a whole year since we were at the hospital welcoming our new baby to the world.  And now here she is standing all by herself... She's still not walking on her own, but has been doing the bear walk a lot lately... She wears 12-18 month clothes, size 3-4 diapers, and size 3 shoes.  She started drinking big girl milk (soy milk) a couple of days ago, so no more formula!  She is still a GREAT eater!  And she still will let the whole world know if her belly is hungry!  She still LOVES to dance more than anything in the world!  She added a new word to her "vocabu
