Catch-up

Image
We have been so busy lately.  I thought I'd just do a quick catch-up blog to recap a few things.  A couple of weekends ago was my cousin, Zack's birthday.  The family got together at my aunt Kay's house to celebrate.  Addison and her buddy, "Gook" (Luke)... Addison sitting with Pa-Pa...  Connor... Landon... Peyton...  Silly babies... Zack, the birthday boy... Addison tryin on Kay's hats (and Luke trying on the trash can)... After the party, we stopped by Gama and Goppy's house (Addison's new names for Jane and Gerald...not sure where she got these names, but it is too cute)...  sleepy girl... Valentine's Party at daycare (Open Door)... Playtime with Luke... And, Addison's "big girl" room...Last Sat night, Gama and Goppy kept Addison and Sue-Sue came over to help me move Addison's room.  We completely cleared her "old" room out and rearranged some things so that we could move her room to ...

Baby Beaman #2

Image
Well, I won't keep you in suspense...Addison is going to have......... ................................................................................. a sweet baby BROTHER!!! We had our ultrasound on Monday, February 6.  Thanks to the good Lord above, our little baby Beaman #2 is looking healthy and strong, with a heart rate of 151 bpm.  It is truly amazing what ultrasound technology can show.  We saw the different parts of his brain, the four chambers of the heart, sweet little fingers and toes.  We saw all these things with Addison too, but it never ceases to amaze me...God is just so awesome!  As for the sex of the baby....that was a surprise for us.  First of all, we have a little girl, so it's easy for your brain to think girl.  Also, my friend did a quick ultrasound on me a couple of weeks earlier and she felt about 75% sure that it was a girl.  It was hard for her to tell because the cord was in between the baby's legs the entire time...

Farm Show and Superbowl Sunday

Image
Last Friday, me, Adam, and Addison went to the NC Farm Show in Raleigh.  We had a great time just spending the day together and not having a schedule.  Me and Addison had fun checking things out and playing and Adam got some good info about some farm equipment that he is interested in.  Here are a few pictures of our day... Getting a good nap in on the ride there... Looking at the cows... Picking out her tractor..."I like this one, daddy.  It has a special seat just for me."... Running around playing....la la la la la... Sitting in a dump bucket... Wow, that's a big tire!... Drinking a muscadine slushie...Yum!... Stopping for a snack... Sunday, we headed to MiMi and Pa's house for the superbowl.  They fixed some delicious chicken wings and chili and Amy made some yummy spinach dip.  Addison was in "show-off" mode the entire time.  She is a mess!  She had fun flirting with all the boys there.  Here she is sitting with Jimmy... ...

18 Months!

Image
Our sweet baby girl is now a year and a half old!!!  I like to call her Little Miss Independent!  She thinks she is so grown, and in a lot of ways, I guess she is.  She certainly isn't a baby anymore.  She has grown a lot over the last month.  I haven't checked her height or weight, but all of her shirts are suddenly too short and her shoes are getting too small.  She wears mostly 24m clothes and size 5 shoes.  She will not let me help her carry her lunchbox and her paper to and from daycare every day... She still is a great eater and sleeper....praise God!  She is finally letting me help her brush her teeth...we have been fighting over this one for a while.  She has started learning to blow her nose in a tissue...you may not think this is blog-worthy, but let me tell you...it is exciting to her mama.  She has 16 teeth, only 4 more to go.  She currently has a double ear infection, but you would never know it...it hasn't slowed her...
